Time crunching turned into the test n tune for the Cadillac Attack event being the first track test for the GETAWAYCARZ 6L90 TCM controlled by the Holley Dominator ECM with its nice tune tables and charts that were designed for the 4L80e. This did not disappoint! Had some spin issues that caused an input shaft failure, new trans went in and then head gasket said not today. Got some good data and info for the trans set up and got this to hold nice shifts at only 230psi ! This is the new "GO TO" !
Making some headway into the boxable kit for the 6L80 and 6L90 manual valve body setups. This will still be solenoid based but we are getting rid of the software glitching and sluggish stock TCM that comes with these transmissions. No more software or operating system matching and thousands of tune tables, it will follow only your shifter just like a manual th400 or 4L80. Yes there will be tons of addons but the main objective is make it work in anything right out of the box so you can drive it right after the install. There is fabrication work needed depending on the style of shifter you want to use and if you are installing addon paddle shifters from a vehicle other than yours as a swap in addon. The vehicles that have paddle shifters stock yes we can utilize them. If your vehicle came stock with a 6L and you want to run our standalone yes we can make that work as well either using your stock shifter or replacing with the H-pattern. These kits will include the tcm itself, the stock tcm bypass mods and the valve body rework so you don't have to do either of those, the 1st and 2nd gear transbrake mods, the built in bump box with 2 step output trigger wire for your 2 step module and if you run the H-pattern the mods needed to the H-shifter to make functional for our tcm. kits start at $4000 with optional addons coming up for throttle app sensor manipulation for launch controls, rev matching and torque management. The idea behind manual valve bodies was the intent to rely on the drivers input ONLY for gear selection. No tuning, no shift tables, no datalogging. When it was only 2 forward gears it was doable. Then came the 3 gear transmissions, and then the 4 gear transmissions. Well now there are 6 gears on the tracks and streets with more in the making. Can you imagine a regular non-reverse pattern manual valve body with a 6 speed in a parking lot? Well we have some more options that can keep things simple and NOT have to deal with clunky shifters and counting clicks all day. Our patented H pattern control system for manual valve body transmissions allow you to drive an automatic transmission with the gear selection capability of a manual transmission except there isn't a neutral between any of the gears! Imagine being able to go from reverse to first in one selection like a manual just without a clutch pedal. Or going from 65mph in 6th gear on a highway to an off ramp and waiting until you're at the next stop sign to simply put it in first and just go. All without sequentially having to go down all the gears and no clutch pedal. You can stay on the gas when you upshift or even lay into the gas, drop from 6th to 4th and hold on to that pull!
